I have had a very similar experience with these new, "Hi-Def" cammos vs the old stand bye, high contrast camo patterns that may not be as popular. Whether I'm hunting canyons or fields or out of a tree stand or in the forest, the higher the contrast of the pattern, the better I am hidden. The info on the way deer see is a nice confirmation of what I have seen in the field as far as the way many cervids act when they "see" you.

Ok Brett you got me hooked. My S600 is on its way. I have been running trail cams for years but have never tried to build one. This sounds like a lot of fun.

Thanks! I'm sure i will have some questions for you.

I finally got my buck scored. He scored 200 6/8ths. Not enough to make the books but still a great score. Very symmetrical on both sides. The drop tines were over 11'' each!

Great article, one thing that I do whenever possible is find a large tree to place the camera in and use about 4 of the tree stand climbing pegs to put the camera off of the ground by 10 to 12 feet. Then I take the steps and hide them away from the tree, even if someone sees the camera it is hard for them to reach.
