Now what! Unit looking poor.

Hey folks. I need some opinions please. I have been building p-points in Colorado now for 7 years. In the beginning it was all directed at unit 66 for a late rifle trophy hunt. Well, point creep has put the rut season just about off the radar. So,that leaves the first rifle season. We got snowed out ...

Re: 243 good for muleys?

Cool little cartridge. Every time I part with one,I end up replaceing it. Mine has been tied up between my 2 girls, and i want it back! Just kidding, their welcome to it as long as they need it. The deer here in PA don't put up much fuss after a 95gr Nosler passes through. I load the 95gr Nosler,100gr...

Re: 25-06

Here is a group of 110gr AccuBonds I shot with my T3 Tikka today. Not too shabby I'd say. If I was limited to the 25-Otter for elk I'd grab these and hit the road.

Re: 25-06

It's amazing how the 25/06 has been re-born. What a super cartridge it is too. I myself have 2 of them at the moment. Would I hunt elk with one? Yep! I sure wouldn't stay home if it was my one and only rifle. On the other hand,if I wanted an excuse to buy another rifle, elk hunting is a great reason....

Re: What do you use for a GPS

I picked up the 62S at Gander Mountain on sale for $360.00 before tx last Aug. They are hanging right around $400.00 now I believe. http://www.huntinggpsmaps.com/states/coloradodownloads.html Is where I got the mini SD card for Colorado. There are other western states available also. Under $100.00 f...

Re: What do you use for a GPS

I had an old E-Trex Legend for years. Last fall I bought a Garmin GPS Map 62S and love it. I ordered a micro SD card of Colorado for it and used the heck out of it elk hunting. The new chip has the unit boundries,GMU land & Private land boundries. Like I said,I gave it a good working out and was ver...

Re: reloading problems

I agree. I had a die that did the same thing. It was obviously a burr on the vent, and RCBS confirmed and replaced the die no problem.
