Re: Montana Blue Tongue

do you think the Muleys in Ashland & Broadus areas were effected? I didnt know that there were deer in that area any more! Just kidding. From what I understand, it mostly affected whiteys and Antelope. I have been waiting for the antelope to get Blue tongue for the past three or four years, cause t...

Re: Montana Blue Tongue

I hunted the east last year, and I think that is the worst blue tongue outbreak I have ever seen. It also knocked down almost all of the Whitetail and a whole bunch of Mulies in the Yellowstone river valley from Billings to Miles City, so I expect to see them quotas dropping for Mulies and Whiteys t...

Re: I could use some input

I love it. It makes the point and shocks at the same time. I especially like the licence plate graphic. Very cool. I once had a bunch of these idiots holding up signs and blowing boat horns in a forest that I was hunting in. When one of them approached me with their "protest", I told her that if she...

Re: Howa/Knoxx Axiom Varminter Rifles

Gentleman, I think you are probably right about the 204 Ruger, a little more thump never hurts. About a month ago I shot the Sako 85 Finnlight in a 243 model, and a Tikka T3 Super Varmint in 308 which are both incredible, but pricey. I was set on one of those, but man, this little Howa looks like it...

Re: Wolves in Montana?

What the deal was about releasing more tags, is that right now, as the plan stands a hunter can only shoot one of these innocent beasts, per year. They are considering changing that so that one hunter can kill two or more wolves until quota is met. almost ran one over last year on the way to elk hun...

Wolves in Montana?

Just got an Email from a friend of mine in the FWP in Montana. Its not new news that Montana has been looking to start a wolf season, but, he said chances are about 98% that it is going to pass the council. So, anyone who wants to get one of these "beautiful animals that only kill the wounded and si...

Re: Newbie Mulie Hunt

Do what I have to do every year. When my wife starts complaining about me flying home to kill animals, I start bringing home books from the local Porche, Corvette, and Mazarrati dealers. I tell her, well, if I cant go hunt, I guess I will just buy one of these cars with the money that I have been sa...

Re: Favorite Coyote Calls?

I like open reen because they are so versatile. I have never seen it work, but my uncle takes his hound out with him when she is in heat, and uses howlers. He says the scent is what really brings em in. I wouldnt doubt it, because I have seen him come home with 11 yotes in a day twice, hunting by hi...
