Re: Hunter who killed best friend

My wife served on jury duty on a similar case several years ago. She still cries over it. It's not so cut and dry when you've lived it. Sad any way you look at it.

Re: Which bullet for mule deer

The 130 would be the choice for me. I'm not a big fan of light for caliber bullets. I use the 150 TTSX in a 7 Rem mag with absolute fantastic performance on deer/antelope.

Re: 25-06

I used a custom 25-06 for years on deer. It is a great open country deer rifle with preferably a 26" barrel and at a minimum the 24". The problem with factory rifles is that most only have a 24" tube and some have the ridiculously short 22" tube (Savage, Tikka, etc.....) The 25-06 is highly overbore...

Re: Big Game

In keeping with the Weatherby tradition, I would take a long look at the 340 Weatherby.

Re: TSX vs Accubond

Is there much advantage to the TTSX over the TSX? Initial expansion begins quicker due to the tip being pushed back into the hollow cavity. It also has flatter trajectory due to the sleeker profile that the pointed plastic tip gives it. I prefer the TTSX because of those two qualities. The TSX does...

Re: TSX vs Accubond

I have used both with great success. My favorite between the two is the TTSX due to the on game performance that I have experienced. I just love that X exit wound on the opposite rib cage. Kind of reminds me of a small broadhead wound. It is my opinion that the TTSX when used in smaller and marginal...

Re: Lets see your boat/toon/tube

My son's graduation present from his mother and I. We figured that graduating with a 4.0 gpa was worth a reward. It is a 2005 Eclipse 1542 with a 2004 Suzuki DF 25 four stroke motor. The ducks at Bayou Meto better beware!
