My Remington Gamemaster pump chambered in .270 Winchester is my go to rifle for just about everything I hunt. I shoot handloads myself, 130 grain Hornady hollow points with 57 grains of Hodgdon 4831 for mulies. Not sure what she chrono's at with that load but it does the trick.

what unit/units do you plan to hunt in Idaho this year? Maybe we'll run into each other.

Considering i've yet to draw in Idaho and spent the last few seasons chasing a monster in a general unit (i call him houdini now since he disappears every year on october 10th) I find it difficult to get down on general hunts. Beautiful buck but I could never take an animal I didnt work for. Whether the helicopter rumor is true or false he still had guides working to locate the buck. To me that isn't hunting. Fair chase DIY is hunting.

He has great height but looks to be a little short of the magic 30" mark. Also looks to only be about 3 1/2 years old. Still a fantastic trophy but im betting if given opportunity to mature he'd hit 190's. Awesome pics!
