Re: Unit 1 or 10 Colorado Elk Rifle (Anyone hunt one of thes
I agree, I have heard good things also and I'm sure that would be a great hunt. If they were allowing banking, i would definately consider it, but I've waited so long and am so close now to the NW corner. I think the chances of harvesting a better quality bull is quite a bit better and there would b...

Unit 1 or 10 Colorado Elk Rifle (Anyone hunt one of these?)
Another year, probably another point, but I'm slowly getting there. I have 14 pts as a resident and I'm looking to do a NW Colorado elk hunt. Most likely it will be with rifle and I have been watching points on the early seasons. Unit 1 is the lowest of the four units in the NW corner. What I'm look...

Re: Lets see those 3rd season Colorado Bucks
I finally got the mount back on my buck from last year and wanted to share. I am very happy with it, Bill Huber does an excellent job at a fair rate in Auroura CO. If you would like to try him let me know, it just might take a little while, but well worth it. Also a pic of my dad with his buck he ki...

Re: First Bull
This was archery in unit 14 Colorado. Found a good spot last year and proved successful. Any unit can be good in CO if you take the time to figure it out.

First Bull
My buddy came out from NC and he was able to knock down this guy for his first bull. They weren't talking at all on the 6th but a bugle pulled him up out of the ravine and he stuck him good enough for a 50 yrd retrieve! Love it when that happens. He was pretty bored for the rest of the week, but sti...

Judging Antelope
Just got back from scouting an antelope area I was drawn for and saw tons. I've never hunted them before and don't really know what BIG is, other than saying this one is bigger than that one if they're standing next to each other. Looked at some articles and an antelopes ear varies in size depending...

Re: Lets see those 3rd season Colorado Bucks
Nice job Norcal....I was hunting just north of you and ended up connecting on this one. I saw a few real nice ones but couldn't get close enough in the pinons. A real muddfest for us but a fun trip. Thanks to all who provided me info for this hunt. He is the best muley I've ever shot and he's going ...
