Muleyseeker, I drew that tag as well. I dont know a whole lot about it, however I did just get back from a successfull antelope hunt in that unit. Not overly impressed with the dear numbers, but the country sure looks good. Anyway, good luck, mabye ill see you up there in a couple weeks. - Leo

It was the E. Beatys Butte Unit. It took 12 points to draw. And it is a Remington 721 30-06 from the 50's that was my Grandpa's, and I have never shot a more accurate rifle (125 gr handloads believe it or not)

Thanks for all the great responses and feedback. Yes, this is in Oregon. My tag is in the Beatys Butte unit. It is one of the units that the Hart Mountain refuge is in. But of course I cant hunt on the refuge, that tag takes 15 or 16 points to draw as a resident. - Leo
