I will normally go place some cameras as soon as the snow melts and I can get in. Use that opportunity to find some new areas. Then around the End of june or early july get real serious about finding some nice animals and recording their habits. After that at least once a week till the hunt starts. ...

Not sure if the insert is still in the arrow? If so take the nock out and get a long rod of some sort and knock that insert till it comes out. You can find an insert for around 80 cents or so. Wow, not exactly the way you plan on tagging out. I think that was very nice of the warden to take the time to find someone instead of just letting them rot.
