I shot a raghorn once in idaho, that was one of the hardest hunts I had been on over 7 days of hunting, and to this day knowing what I did to get it, to me its a trophy.

i have similar issues in california hunting in july its over 100 degrees and only 70 at night. once the animal is skinned, deer or pig we quarter or bone it put it in game bags than a garbage bag to keep it dry. then in the cooler with ice. Then keep the ice chest in whatever shade there is.

for me personally I never use a broadhead for deer,elk or bear that has been shot and hit the ground, target,etc. Just my view I want it to be the sharpest and straighteset it can be. I save those that are not really bent for small game, coyotes rabbits etc
