Re: To small of a caliber
The farthest kill I made w the 222 was a groundhog 320yds. I miss a lot at the distance. My average shot at a deer is usually less than a 100yds. Can't really see any farther than that unless there is snow on the ground. Last couple of chances I got to hunt rifle is was unseasonably warm.

Re: To small of a caliber
I have a 300mag for out west. I don't mind shooting 300yrds. I just been getting e-mails from people I hunt with. Everybody on this site is helpful. I am just trying to see how other people look at this.

To small of a caliber
I get told all the time that my 222 is to small to hunt deer with. I got the weapon when I was young for hunting groundhogs. First used it for deer when I was 14 because I hurt my shoulder. I couldn't use my 270, even the small amount of recoil with that hurt severly. So my dad said try the 222. Peo...

Re: Best State???
If you want to draw for a tag look into Pa or Ky. It is hard to get a tag in those states but the success rates are high if you get a tag.

A great buy

We talked for awhile and he told me it was a beretta side by side. I told him to go get the weapon so I could look at it. It was a 195...

Hello!! I love to hunt in fish!! I do most of my hunting in PA. My favorite weapon to hunt with is a flintlock. Most years I miss hunting season because I am in the desert but when I get the chance I am always in the woods. Moving to colorado springs in 2 months so I just need to keep my fingers cro...

Looking an archery shop
I am moving to colorado springs in a few months. Can anyone reccommend a good archery shop and range in that area. I haven't shot a bow in 10 years and looking to get back into it. Any help would be appreciated.
