Re: Russell Outdoors... Any users

The only piece I have is a apxg2 pullover. Zip neck. I used it on a fishing trip in Wyoming and a pheasant hunt. Both in November. It was a really nice piece of gear. I really cant compare it to anything but for the price I would buy more of the gear.

Re: Best high country boots?

Lowa sheep hunter gtx. I have used them on two dall sheep hunts in Alaska. Best boot I have used while carrying a heavy pack. I think the type of boot is relative to the amount of weight you will carry and the type of mountain terrain. These things are designed to support you with heavy weight and i...

Re: Spotting Scope Magnification for Idaho Muleys

Check craigslist. I was looking at Wyoming yesterday and there was a couple nice Leupold spotters. Nothing for 100, but if you spend that money you will kick yourself in the butt after you take it to the field and use it. Listen to the rest and save up for a bit and buy a good one. Once in a lifetim...

Re: Can you score him for me

Sorry if I led you astray as I don't have the score for either bulls. I have mounted the first one, but he sits in storage as until I get back from Afghanistan. I will find out when I get back. Thanks for your input though. I am trying to figure out how to look at one and try determine the scores.

Can you score him for me

Hey all. I thought I would try to post these two bulls on here to get your opinion on a field score.
I haven't scored any bulls but started wondering what they were. The first picture is me with my first and only bull, the second is a friend with his.

Casper, Wy taxidermy.... be careful!!

So I finally managed to kill a nice bull elk. After 8 years of hunting with a longbow I moved to Alaska. On my first chance to make it back to Wyoming I was able to hunt and make friends with a great guy just outside of Jackson Hole. I killed a nice 5x6 bull with a 338 federal. Soon after I traveled...
