i use shooting sticks. they are not in the way while hiking in fact aid with that as i use them as a walking stick as well. can use them in various wasy to fend off the wife if walking on the heels and beat the kids when they are out of line as well. I would use the heavier bullet. This not only helps out beyond 100 yards for accuracy if you have any winds but will also aid in better penetration on heavier skinned animals. the lighter bullets work great for varmints and such or at closer ranges but why take the chance if you have to shoot at 250...

I have eaten dog in Korea, not bad kinda greasy and sweet tasting. In the soup i also had the nose and alot of fat....but nonetheless it was definitely palatable...........*wonders at the potential*

That only makes sense. Better velocity might make better kills...less wounded and if it is cleaner even better for accuracy.=====}
