I am by no means an expert, but here's what I did a few weeks ago. When I spotted my bull, I did the math like this: Looking at him broadside at 50 yards through 10 power glass, I could tell his mains were at least 48" based on his body size. I rounded it off to an even 50 to make the math easier. 5...

mark jones, Welcome to Muley Madness. :) That is a nice bull! Good job. He looks like he'd score more then 300. :thumb Thanks! He's about a 335 bull. I really wanted that magic 350 bull, but this was such a perfect opportunity. I knew he was well over 300 so I just couldn't pass him up! That 350 bu...

Thanks!

I'm on the 5 yr waitng plan before I can apply again. I've got 3 yrs to go.

I've got a full 10 years before I can apply for a bull elk tag so 3 years on the antelope doesn't seem like a big deal!

Nevada antelope

I shot this buck a couple of years ago in the Winnemucca NV area. I watched him from a mountain top for a couple of days to see where he was watering. On the 3rd day we dug a blind on the waterhole and waited a day and a half for him to come back to water. He died thirsty! 74 4/8 P&Y http://img.phot...

I like to use the heart monitor scale. In other words, if your heart is beating loud enough that you don't hear the bull bugle at 20 yards, he's a shooter!

Wow! That's a heartbreaker for sure. Too bad the hunter wasn't able to find him.

I just found this forum today. Great site! I wanted to share some pics of a recent elk hunt. I arrowed this bull on August 29th in the Ely, NV area. I got about 10 minutes of this bull on video while I looked him over. I've got footage of him in a wallow, eating, drinking, etc. as well as the kill s...
