After further time and research, I have decided to do a guided Montana deer hunt this year and keep saving my points up for colorado. This gives me ample time to study maps, areas etc.

I have been looking hard at the Trijicon scopes, Vortex and Nightforce...I just dont want to have to go back to college and learn calculus again to figure out how to use the scopes. haha.

I hunted with Rod Pasche of Sizzlin S' Outfitters in 2010. His hunting area is near broadus. He is a great guy and a phenominal guide to say the least. his hunts are very affordable. you might be ahead to call him. the eastern montana bucks are not huge but there are some deer in the 180's shot ever...
