Re: The Quest for a Bighorn
Koby, you killed an AWESOME ram! Well done. I am glad the other hunter enjoyed success as well. A great ram taken by a great guy who put in the work to earn such a trophy!

Re: Option #2 passed at RACs,,,3-2
How wouldnt raising the buck to doe ratio increase the deer herd. Right now there arent enough mature bucks to breed the does that are there. Seems to me if more does get bred that must mean more fawns will be born therefore more deer? seems like common sense. I have studied the data from Utah's li...

Look for water and old rub areas. Elk usually rut in the same areas year in and year out. Have you looked in the Mudd Lake area?

Re: Wallows
As a rule, the bulls will usually hit wallows somewhere between 10 am and 3 pm, at least that has been my experience. As has been mentioned, find one that is being torn up daily and sit upwind and stay there until the thermals change and it's cools off later in the evening.

Re: Fenced Elk
I believe in Utah the fence must be at least 8' high. That fence looks 6' at best. I hope the one you put the camera through was higher as well as sturdier.

Re: Mt.Dutton
I have a Dutton muzzy tag and I am looking for a guide, can any point me to a good established outfitter? With my work schedule, I can't put in the time to do the scouting that I wanted to do. Make sure whomever you hire knows the Dutton real well. It is a tricky unit for those who don't know it to...
