Re: Man charged with poaching in Kansas City
Kansas is too light on poachers I doubt he will see any time. I would guess it will cost him about what a guided hunt would cost only he doesn't get the trophy and will lose privileges for a short while. The Fish & Game will have a new mount for the headquarters.

I see it every year down here. One conservation officer covering four counties or more doesn't help.

Re: Dog shot with Deer Hunting Arrow
I too would need to know the story. An area I hunt has a couple of coon hounds from a neighbor some two miles away that stray from home and chase deer. They were chasing deer on this property during the rifle opener this year ruining the days hunt for several. Now, the owner has been contacted and a...

Re: Favorite .300 WSM Load
thehardway, That's interesting I did tweek my load to 65 grain (just because I found it a little more accurate) of RE17 w/ 215m's and just chronographed the load average at 3098 fps. I am shooting a win model 70 and have not experienced any pressure signs. I am using the 168 tsx's What did you chron...

Re: Thoughts on Tikka T3 Lite
Good luck, You will be happy with it. I own one in 338 win mag and I believe like many said they are a great value. And I think for a injected molded plastic stock it is the most rigid and accurate of that type of stock. On a lot of rifles I think of the plastic stock as a throw away but not so on t...

Re: Fall Archery Tom
It actually slide along the rib cage so meat loss was very little. I'm not sure that would be my first choice shot, but it worked out well in this case enough for me to try it again if presented that shot again.

Re: 270 win
1+ for SS.
2900 fps is about tops for 150's especially with a 22" tube you are probably looking at 2850. But I guess my question would be: Why is 3000 fps your magic number?
You are probably only talking about 4" difference in elevation between 3000 and 2850 fps at 500 yards.
