Re: sitka gear

I'm probably in the minority here but my favorite clothing material for hunting is old fashioned wool. It's quiet, warm, breathes, keeps ya warm even if it's drenched. I've got it from really thin, almost like slacks to thick as heck. Hard to beat it IMO.

Re: Here Kity-kity

I wonder if ya could get more than one with a rifle? Or would they scatter at the sound of the shot? Ooo That .50Alaskan with the suppressor would be perfect! lol

Re: Scoop on Binoculars

I really like my Bushnell H20 10x42's. Cabelas has a deal where you can get the binos, an Arc1000 rangefinder and a knife for $300.

Re: Round chambered while hunting?

Now, to throw a bit of a twist for those of you who don't carried chambered. How do you hunt when after upland birds and waterfowl? I couldn't imagine having to chamber a round before getting on a bird. If you say you carry chambered for birds, then what exactly is the difference with a rifle? I hu...

Re: Corps new Bullet Construction!

Thats great, will they share these with the Army? And is this considered an "expanding" bullet? When I was there the M855 (ball) ammo was super accurate but definitely lacked any punch. Thanks to the Hague (spl?) convention and subsequent addition to geneva convention rules of war, expanding (huntin...

Re: every person who killed a wolf in montana[list]

Well I read through all the comments, yes my blood pressure is up. I only saw 2 posts that were remotly against the grain of the board. Neither of them looked to be from people on this board unless you used a different screen name. Either way that site is rediculous. They openly say that some posts ...
