I know this is a big question, but here goes.

What's everybody's favorite make and model (not calibre) for deer and elk. I would have done a poll but there are to many to list.

looking for a good scope for a 270 wsm. I noticed burris makes scopes specifically for short mags. has anybody tried one? how much difference could that make? what are some other good brands in the $300 - $400 range?

we hunt lots of pigs in TX. Hunting them with dogs is my prefered method. The bow hunters really like them too.

I am not trying to compare the 25 and 270. I should have made that more clear. I am actually looking at getting both. The 270 will be my elk and muley gun the 25 will be for whitetail, coyotes, antelope etc...
