Re: 180gr core lokt vs 165gr sst

The Core Lokt and the SST are virtually the same bullet as far as construction goes as both are cup and core, not bonded and Hornady added a protective plastic tip. Hornady uses a protruding ring midways down the cup for the lock and Remington thickens the inner wall of the cup about midways accompl...

Re: How to Sight-In a Rifle

Great starting point post. :thumb I use a similar method for boresighting in the house, removing the bolt, acquiring the target and bringing the scope to the bore sight point. Next I adjust my scope to the hunting loads I'm using so that somewhere out there around 22 yards, my bullet intersects with...

Re: Aim Above or Below?

Re: Aging Deer (pic) You be the Judge!

Left Buck 3.5 years old less mass antlers than Right Buck, less developed mask, Middle Buck antlers and general youthfullness of body tells me he’s about 2.5 years old Right Buck 5.5 years old due to mask and body confirmation (belly) (thicker neck) and antler size and mass :thumb good post!

Re: MuleyMadness Roll Call

I've been hunting since the early 50s mol, and just a few years back got my first Muley. Since then I've shot a couple more but truthfull they were shot for meat more than trophy. The past few years, I've gained an appreciation of how hard a really nice Buck is to harvest in most cases and the chall...
