My favorite is my savage mark II .22, i works great out to a hundred yards and is cheap to shoot. i wouldnt mind getting a .223 though.

37B is has some nice deer in it specially along the gila river. But i thing it may be a little farther in to Az then you want to travel. But the Jan. season has some nice units for deer also like unit 23 and unit 27.

i carry a set of folding shooting sticks they are light weight and easy to unfold with one hand. plus they work great for a rest for bino's while glassing

depending on the year but the last two years my dad has recieved 6 tags for deer. he is a resident though and im only able to get one tag as a non resident sadly i moved to az for schooling. Yeah they are a blast to hunt.

I grew up in southeast alaska and the sitka blacktails we have there are not that big in anyway. Last season my dad took a 3x3 and we only got about 70lbs of meat off of him which is actually a little better than average for there. The average meat that i have seen from them is about 65lbs.

Unit 20A in AZ
A buddy and i got rifle tags for deer in 20A this year and are having a bit of hard time locating any deer. Have heard Big Bug Mesa was good but gets packed with people if anyone knows where a couple good spots to scout i would appriciate it
