Spring Goulds turkey hunts in Sonora, Mex for sale

Post by Sonora Coues » Sat Dec 13, 2008 5:43 pm

Hello,

Our family owns and operates a 25,000 acre ranch in Northeastern Sonora state, less than 80 miles from the Arizona border. The ranch has an elevation that ranges from 3,200 ft in the canyons to 7,400 in the mountains. The ranch also has a very healthy population of Goulds Turkey, most of which inhabit riparian river beds at mid-elevation levels. We are opening up the ranch and offering hunting of this magnificent trophy, the grand slam of Turkey hunting. We plan on harvesting a maximum of 12-15 birds. The hunting season is April 1 through May 2009. Goulds was last hunted at the ranch back in 2002.

Our price per hunter is $1,800 for one turkey/guided. Unguided turkey hunts are $1,400. This includes 3-5 days at the ranch, which is itself scenic and pristine, along with your English speaking personal guide/driver. All food (three meals/day, beverages and snacks) and lodging is included, as is roundtrip transportation from Tucson or Douglas, Arizona. Stay at a top of the line lodge, with hot water, solar energy, widescreen TV and DirecTV. There is an additional $200 charge for gun/ammunition permits, licenses, and tags as well.

Group rates are available. The more hunters in your group (4-5 max), the better the discount per hunter will be. Non-hunter companions are welcome to join you for $150/day. Gratuities are not included.

Hunters interested please contact us via email and I will be happy to send you a link to the ranch website where you can see the beauty and unspoiled surroundings you will enjoy, as well as pics and video of the ranch and its lodges. This is truly a spectacular land, nestled in the Sierra Madres. I will also be very happy to answer any questions you may have. We will close the hunting window once all available tags are reserved. (A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total price guarantees your reservation, with the remaining balance due 60 days before your arrival).

If interested, email us at : montasierra@yahoo.com

Additionally, the ranch has very healthy and unstressed populations of coues deer, javelina, mountain lion, bobcat, coyote and fox. We are now accepting reservations for Fall 2009 coues deer hunts. Javelina hunts (bow/gun) available as well. Please email for more information.
