Eating Coyote????

Postby TahoeRy » Fri Apr 13, 2012 3:42 pm

My hunting buddy and I have been considering going out and trying our hands at some coyote hunting to get some field time in. I have never heard of anybody eating them and I bet there is a reason for that. Has anybody ever eaten coyote? Was it good? I could imagine that its greasy and gamey but I have no idea. What do you guys think?

Well, I've eaten dog (overseas) and it was pallatable. Not sure about coyote???
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

I'd like to think I won't ever be THAT hungry , but let me know what you think if you decide to try it.

I think that most people are turned off to them, for the fact that they eat almost, literally, everything. There are quite a few cultures that eat dog, maybe the rest of us are missing out????

I have eaten dog in Korea, not bad kinda greasy and sweet tasting. In the soup i also had the nose and alot of fat....but nonetheless it was definitely palatable...........*wonders at the potential*
