Alaska Black Bear
Here is a bear I wanted to share with ya'll. I got it on Prince of Wales Island in May of this year. He was very close to 400 pounds and had a skull close to 20" The skull is at Skulls Unlimited in Oklahoma City and should be back in a couple months. I will then have it scored. I am having a lifesize mount done.

Re: Alaska Black Bear
I have a realtor friend that lives in Ketchikan. I met him through his father. He was a turkey hunting friend of mine that used to live in Ketchikan but moved to Pennsylvania years ago. He came here to turkey hunt with me a few times and invited me up to his sons house to fish a few years back. Sadly, my buddy died from cancer last year. I have remained in contact with his son and we get together each year to fish and bear hunt. I want to go up and hunt Sitka deer one of these years. There are a pile of the critters up there. He has a cabin on Prince of Wales Island. I have been up there a few times of which I hunted bears twice and was lucky both times. He does not charge me anything but gas for the boat and groceries. I guess you could call it guided, but all we do is cruise the inlets and glass the grassy shorelines. Then we get out and stock the bears and decide if it is one we want.
