I've been to Alaska...in the spring...on a USS ship. Sadly, no hunting but did have a blast fishing off the back when we were anchored out!
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

I am with both of you 79Ford & ABert;
I have been to Alaska, on a 15 day cruise and land tour package like ABert commented (been there), but like 79Ford I also am wishing for a spring bear hunt. As long as I am just wishing and do not have to pay, might as well be for a brown bear hunt on Kodiak Island.

9er,

I was fortunate to draw Spring permit #o2 out of 5 available on the North Slope of the Brooks Range a number of years back. Fond memories indeed. average temp for 10 days 22 below zero.Sleeping on the ground under a tarp stretched over the wing of a Super Cub. Traveling by snowshoe looking for tracks leaving a den. Am looking at the lifesize mount of that Grizzly as I write this.

GOOD HUNTING,
SPIKE
