well we were ridin back to camp for lunch, and spotted him eatin some grass watched him for all of maybe one minute when i decided to fill a tag shot from 60 yards are so and no clue to score didnt bother

i need to start gettin a bear tag so i got one when huntin elk and deer i always run into bears and should just say what the burn and get a tag. they are gettin to thick where im at and would prolly be better me gettin them and gettin something outa it than the DOW doin it when they break into houses and cars. nice bear though congrats

Yeah, Big Antler, that's my idea. It's only $11.00 for bear or cougar in Oregon, so since I'm going out for Elk, I picked up the bear tag in case.

I do the same every year. I just pick up a bear and cat tag (this past year a wolf tag) when I get my deer and elk tags. I dont hunt persay the first three critters. But this way if I stumble on to one. I can decide then if I want to fill the tag.
