Gobblers

Post by Sniper1 » Sun Apr 18, 2010 1:29 pm

Been out hunting the past two weekends. Had a great hunt and was able to arrow my bird last sunday at 22 yards. Been out all weekend this weekend and had a few close calls, lots of gobblers willing to talk but not to many wanting to leave the hens they already for some new ones. ](*,) not yet at least.

Im workin on gettin pics up. This was my first kill with my bow so i decided on shooting a jake which im more than happy with. I hunted on some private ground up in logan the northern unit. Had some long beard come in but could not get them within 50 yards but these jakes and hens came into ten yards. Finally after 20 minutes of them messin around with my decoy my ole lady talked me into stickin an arrow to a jake. I used a wac em broad head and it went all the way through him. I will get pics up. thanks
