Wednesday's hunt was for the birds

Post by one hunting fool » Sun Nov 13, 2011 10:21 am

So I had a little time Wed's so i thought I would take the dogs out for a little Pheasant hunt. Opening day was Saturday and we limited out by 10 so it look like a good year. Sunday I only had a few hours and only scared up one bird that my buddy shot.
After talking to the land owners Tuesday they said that all the birds had been Saturday. All they saw during the week where hens. Knowing the birds couldn't be all gone just moved to a higher area I decided to hunt there around noon.
I only hit one field got up 2 hens and these two Birds.

so far this year I shot 5 shells and have 4 birds in the freezer.
now I just need to fill my deer tag and i will be set :))

Now take your hunting equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out into the open country and hunt some wild game for me.

Best eating bird on the face of the planet, IMHO.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

Nice work! I'm hoping to bag a couple of them before the season ends.
