only hunt the jacks so i don't have to worry about eating them, don't tan them so i don't have to worry about holes, so any thing goes as far as cal. to use, however that being said, i love to use my 10/22, or my browning lever action, or if i am looking for a challenge the ruger buckmark 22 pistol is a ball. or if i want to practice my rifle shooting the 223 is awsome. or try a 50 cal muzz, now that is a pretty good challenge as well.

I like to chase rabbits with .38 specials and the .223 I go after mainly jacks, so the hide or meat aren't an issue. I use the revolver for the up-close shots or to get them running. After they get out there a ways and start feeling safe again, I find them with the scope on the .223 with the 50gr hollow points. Does wonders! For cottontails, I would use the good old .22
