Turkey Hunters - How's The Hunting?

Post by WTFanatic » Thu Mar 27, 2008 7:20 am

Birds are pretty quite here in N Alabama - hopefully this week's warm weather will get them fired up. I did talk to a friend from South Alabama and they've already taken several birds.

How's the action in your hunting area? I guess it's still pre-season in many states outside the South.

Happy Hunting,
Michael

Now take your hunting equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out into the open country and hunt some wild game for me.

The season does not open until the 12th of this month. I am frothing at the bit to get at it.

Does anyone have any hints on using a mouth call while having an upper denture. I tried it without the denture being in but I sounded like a hen with out a beak.

We're leaving Thursday for a 5 day hunt in CA. Season opened last weekend.

The double bull is ready, the video camera is ready, and the arrows are hitting where they're supposed to be hitting.

I should have some pics to post early next week...

Killed this gobbler in Kentucky Sunday morning at 8:10. Called him in with hen in tow. Shot him at 51 yards. This is only my 2nd bird, but first one that I called in. The first one I ambushed in a green field.

We saw tons of birds. My hunting buddy killed one on Saturday, A hunter from Georgia killed 2 the day before we arrived.
