Our future

Post by ABert » Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:53 pm

Here is a pic of my neice (7) and nephew (4) and the pheasant we took on our annual post-big game hunt. My neice was a heck of a trooper and stayed with us the entire hunt. It was priceless to see her "shoot" the first five birds. She actually brought her shotgun (yes, it is plastic) up, aim and pull the trigger each time. After she got her five birds, she decided she would kick the birds up once the dogs were on point. My nephew, on the other hand, was your typical 4 year old. Hung with us for a while, decided it was too much walking, wanted Daddy to carry him, sat down in the middle of the field to have a fit, wanted Mommy to console him, you know the routine. Though I have to say, my neice was that exact same way a couple of years ago. All in all, a great family time by all. This is a picture I will definitely treasure for years to come.

It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

Looks like pretty bright future to me. Keep them out there with you and they will grow up right for sure.

Great job, wish we still had some birds like that in my neck of the woods.

Beautiful birds! 10sign:
