Ring Bill mount

Post by Mark » Mon Aug 03, 2009 7:33 pm

Here's my latest addition to the bird collection. I shot this bird on the last day of the season in January 2007. He was shipped to me today from Todd Huffman of Birdman Studios. Todd is one the best bird taxidermists in the country in my opinion. He's done a few birds for me and this is by far the nicest bird to date.

Beautiful mount for sure! Definitely worth the money to have mount that looks as good as that.

Thanks guys...

Todd's prices are actually pretty affordable. He charges $250 for ducks, plus $35 for the plaque. If you just want drift wood it's included in the $250. I paid $10 to ship it and I'll pay about $40 to have it shipped back to NV. I'll be into this mount for less than $350 which I consider a fair price for this quality of work.

Yup, Ring neck is the correct name, and ring bill is common as well. Pochards is my favorite name for them!

$350 well spent. Again, nice looking bird.
