How easy is it to draw a turkey tag in Utah? I am wanting to get a turkey tag. In the Central Region. Put in is December 10th.

Are you looking for one of the limited entry tags or just the general season tag?

Things are really changing for this coming turkey season.

The first season is a LE tag, but is going to be a tough one to get. However the 2nd and 3rd seasons are open to buying over the counter, the second I believe is a youth only tag, and the 3rd is open to the rest of us. But by then the birds are going to be a bit more scattered and call shy.

Me and my brother drew the wasatch mountains tag last year. it took us three points to draw them I believe. We never got one, didnt get to hunt that much but oh well maybe next year.

Get on the divisons website it talks about it in multiple places. get the turky guide book and it talks about it in there as well. like i said the 2nd season is a youth only over the counter tag. the 3rd is for the rest of us.

no need to draw a tag unless you are trying to hunt in April. (to me the best time of year to hunt) i hunted in may last year and the birds are call shy and you have to work for them but i got into birds every day. I shot mine on the opening and hunted the rest of the season with a friend. (he never connected) but this year everyone wanting a tag can have one. so good luck

May is going to be busy in them Utah hills with unlimited , over the counter turkey tags..

I've got every one in our household in for the southern LE in April, my oldest boy and
wife should hopfuly have enough points to pull tags.

Heres a picture of my 2009 Fillmore bird last April.
