Spring Cougar Pic

Post by Hunting_Oregon » Tue Apr 13, 2010 10:53 pm

My brother and I had this camera out for a long time to see if you could get any buck pictures only to have this guy/girl show up. This cat and one spike elk is all that was captured on its two month soak. But i'm really excited to get my first Cougar pictures.

Wow, sweet pictures. Thanks for sharing, looks to be a healthy cat. What's it doing eating straw? :)

Cool cat pics. :thumb I'm guessing there must have been some type of rodent in that straw. :-k

Thanks, I'm not really sure what it is doing in the hay. We came up with: Possibly rubbing its scent on it, trying to cover his scent or going after a rodent. But who knows. Do you guys think it is a big cat? I'm not good at judging especially with the angles. Thanks for looking

Looks like a big cat to me, but your right a little hard to tell with the angle.

Look at the distance between the ears, looks like a big cat to me.--------SS

Killer it was taking in Central Oregon. I believe the Local state hounds man had this cat treed but it got away from him. The cat is doing a number on the deer in the area.
