Should be a good location

Post by Tonoonyi » Thu Jan 05, 2012 10:33 pm

Monday I was able to get my trail camera set up where the bulls winter, I think it should be a great spot just based on the sheds that we have found near it in years past. My Reconyx will run several months and take several thousand pictures on a set of battery's so it should still be running when I am able to get back up there around the middle of April.

Here is a Google earth picture of the canyon that I put it in and pins for the sheds that I have attached in the following pictures, as well as some pins from several other smaller sheds we have found on that hillside.

Here are the shed pictures.

Its hard not to get anxious waiting to get back up there and see what I get for pictures, but to go is to bump the wintering bulls.
Keep your nose in the wind and your eyes along the skyline.

those are some sweet sheds. I know I am getting the itch to go shed hunting too! Been watching a lot of bucks but haven't found my herd of bulls yet. They haven't moved down yet due to the lack of snow! Just hoping it doesn't start dumping once they shed!

Look forward to seeing the results in April. :thumb
Great sheds, too.

Live to hunt, hunt to live.

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell
