Re: Trail Cam Clip
That reminds me of a day that I was out scouting just before the archery season in one of my treestands. I had a water bottle that slipped out of my pack and hit the ground and about an hour later as a heard of elk came in and you could tell as soon as they were down wind of where the water bottle was laying that they smelled something that made then nervous. They worked that scent trail until they found it's source and then they still stood there for over a half hour looking for danger before they calmed down enough to go on into the pond that I was watching. They acted just like what you see in the clip sniffing it and looking around.
Boy was that an eye opening lesson on how well an animals scence of smell is.
It's amazing how well they can pick out something that has changed in their area. I have had elk work my camers over to the point that they have knocked them right off of the tree.
Neat video. Thanks for posting

Live to hunt, hunt to live.
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell
the difference.
