My Biggest Brook Trout to date!

Actually no, caught with a JIG in a lake on the Boulder Mountains, there is still huge brookies in there. Just very tough to catch.
No bait or night crawlers here, good ole fashin jigging. These brookies are to fat and healthy to even look at a worm, trust me I tried for hours and never even had a nibble.
I caught mine with a jig also, it seems to more or less just agitate them until they finally take a swipe at it.
I've fished for hours and hours on this lake, and only caught one brookie and had him mounted. Had another lunker on, but lost him.
The feed is incredible in the lake, fresh water shrimp by the bucket loads. Depending on the winters is how well they fair or if they survive at all.
