anybody matt & frame their own?
I do, started years ago because I couldn't afford the frames I wanted. Getting into matting was not a huge step from there. matting and glass for 16x20 enlargement's were costing me about $120 at that time. I like big picture's.
I make the frames from old wood, so far it's all been free. But have a guy now that's offering to get it for me for $1 per foot, lineal ft.
Here's three I did recently. First is one of my squirt as a puppy.
Next is a Setter owned by a guy from Nevada. Did it from leftover part's because I really like the picture. The dog's name is "Jackie".
The last one is matted and a photo of an old homestead near Gateway, Oregon.

My father does my Matting when I need it.. But personally I like the gallery wrapped canvas ready to hang on the wall much better.. Just my opinion tho
