I used Browning Gortex rain gear on my Alaska hunt nad it served me well though it did not rain as much on my hunt. Prior to me arriving the guide said it had rained the last 8 days in a row and pretty heavily too. Make sure that what you bring is not only water proof but breathable too.

I've got to say the Gotex that my Uncle Sam gave me is by far the best waterproof gear I've ever had. I even got it in both woodlands and dessert camo!
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

Goretex it is then. any idea on a price range you recommend? In gear, most of the time its the higher priced stuff that is the best.

If I was you i would try and find a surplus store and get some of the miltary gear. I swear it is the toughest best gortex waterproof gear I have ever used. :thumb

As long as you dont care about camo patterns the Military stuff is hands down awesome.

The military gortex gear works great. Cruise the internet to find the best deals. Also, check your local thrift store I found two woodland gortex jackets in perfect shape for $15 each.
