Looking for info and a place to hunt mule deer in south central South Dakota. Also would consider north east wyoming or south east Montana.

This post was a great idea so I thought I would resurrect it. My buddy drew an archery antelope tag on the Plateau/Boulder unit and I am tagging along with him. Since it's opening weekend and I have a deer tag (and the fever real bad) I'm going to hunt deer. Anyone have any info on the deer in that unit? We'll be camped in the Big Lake area (I think). I've been scouring maps for the past few days to try and figure out what my options are. I had no intentions of hunting down there until last week so any info would be greatly appreciated. I have hunted the Wasatch front a lot (just like everyone else) so if you need some info I'll try to help. Thanks!

I would try the North Fork Rock Creek stream head, as I have hiked up there and seen some really nice deer when I went. But if you don't want to hike a long way back, then you should try the EAST side of Bonito Mountain. Hope this helped

I forgot to mention that I've had some limited hunting experience in South East Idaho. I've hunted deer/elk in the Tin Cup region (Freedom, ID I think) and a little in the Pocatello area. I might not be much help, but I'd love to try.

I can help with gmu 211 in colorado gmu 11 but not as well, and d-17(good zone for california)d-14 in california as well as a bit in the warner mountains and the b zones in california but the b zone is by ear as I have not hunted there since I was a teenager. Turokman 123 are you familiar with gmu 75 751 in colorado? I used my points for a 211 tag 3rd season last year and thought I would try a new area I could possibly hunt every year. Thanks.
