Colorado mule deer hunting

I've put in for unit 581. anybody hunt there before? If I draw, i'd get to hunt GMU 49,57,58 and 581. Any recomendations are welcome. Thanks, Donut Slayer.

We have hunted 49 for both deer and elk over the years. The lower draw systems off 24/285 are full of deer with a few bruisers now and then. I took my biggest buck to date there. Best bet is to get a map and drive the roads to familiarize yourself with the area and then get out on foot and do some scouting.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

i can tell you more about units 49and 57 . alot of deer running in the draws in the south end of unit 49 . unit 57 at the north end has alot of draws that hold deer around aspin ridge and the ruby mountain area . there is the rugged area at the bottom of trout creek pass oh the suth side of the highway behind farmer browns land that holds alot of deer also .
