CA A27 Devils Garden late archery hunt

Hey guys my hunting buddy drew the coveted A27 tag in CA this year and Im going to be tagging along to try and help him find a nice mature buck. I just thought Id ask if any of you have any insight on that hunt. Niether of us have spent any time up in that part of the state so we dont even know where to start. Weve heard a few things but would love any help you can give on where we can camp and start our search. Thanks
