Has anyone seen this buck?
My wife's grandfather, Melvin Truman, killed this buck in approximately 1961 in the southern utah area. He sold the mount in the early nineties without anybody really knowing when he became very sick. The family would love to buy it back to keep it in the family. We heard it might be in Colorado, so if any of you have seen it please send me a P.M. or an email to juseeg@yahoo.com.

Awesome buck....hope you can track it down. Call Jack Reneau at Boone & Crockett and have him do a search on the critter....if anyone will know if it was ever measured, he will. Good luck.

Thanks everybody for all your help. I was able to contact Ryan Hatfield with Boone and Crockett and he knew right where it was at and how much it scored. The family is really excited but unfortunately the chances of recovering it are slim. Hopefully the new owner will allow some replicas to be made. It sounds like it is in Palm Springs, CA. I appreciate everybody on this site and all the helpful information they provide. They are also going to change the name in the record books to my wife's grandfather's name. It was listed as unknown previously.
