best scope for the money?

Post by muleywannabe » Mon Jul 20, 2009 7:50 am

In your opinion, what is the best scope on the market for the money? I am looking in the 600.00 range. I really like the shepherd scopes but am open to all suggestions.

thanks

Leupold VXIII. The best eye relief in the business and a great warranty. Most models are in the $500.00 range.

I really like the Burris ballistic plex, i go with the 4 x 14. I have a buddy who uses only swaroski scopes, and he hunted with my gun and with the Burris and decided to buy one for his new gun. Its a great scope in my opinion, and not a bad price.

I have been really impressed with the vortex line. I bought a 3.5x10x50 for my varmit gun and have been really impressed. I also have A VX-II on a deer rifle and to me they are almost identical. The vortex warranty is better too... The price is alot better also. That is the best part. I think they only run about $400... Go to a dealer and put them up side by side and see what you like better. You won't go wrong with either. I also have a Burris Black Diamond on a 300winmag that i like alot also. But is a little more pricey.
