I live in 42. Have hunted with a bow there the last few years. Seen a few didn't get a shot. If I were seriously hunting there I would go in the White Tanks Park and hike and camp way back in the hills. There is a golf course at the south-eastern side of the tanks that the big daddy rabbits visit frequently then shoot back up in the hills. Other than that, you can look for the edges out where there are farms and water farther to the west.
good luck.

Forgot to tell you that no firearms allowed for hunting in the park. Bows only. (well rocks, slings and spears too)
Also, up just south and east of wickenberg is pretty good. Just get some good glass and sit up high.

Travis from South West Hunting adventures guides out there... Him and his brother know that area better than most and have been ridiculously successful out there... I would look them up or call them and see if you can work something out.
Bow hunting is not my SPORT it's my PASSION!

My friends are locals in the area that cant afford a guide but would like to gain as much knowledge of the area prior to scouting as possible. They are both very busy with family and work so Im trying to help them as much as I can from here. Well thanks guys for advise and I hope you guys have very succesful hunting trips this year.

The areas I would glass is on tha north and west sides of black mountain which is about 4 miles west of wickenburg. I would also glass the mountains southwest of los caballeros golf course, to get there go on south vulture mine road and go past the golf course a little bit and head into the mountains on the west side of the road and find a spot to glass

Thank you for the very detailed info, I just sent the info out to them and they are going to be stoked, and I'm sure they will be out scouting on there next day off. Thanks again!

primal215,
I'm curious what your friends found? What's the heard like in this area? How many deer did they spot? I live three hours away and was thinking of trying a archery second season hunt there. Anyone have additional info or advice?
Thanks
