A guy I work with at "The Treichler Institute for the Easily Amused" and his wife both have them. They have carried and shot them for a little over a year and have had no trouble with them. They are in the price range of pistols that you had better take to the range and see if they are reliable and if not send it back to the manufacturer until it is. Pistols like SIG and HK you just carry from day one with no worries.

SIG P226, P228, P229 and the P220 are the best. It's hard to change magazines on my 220 because it's a single stack but younger hands have no trouble with it. Here's a short video of the 228 and 220. I've got 22 conversions ($285.00) from SIG for the 226 and 220 which makes them cheap to practice with too. They are $800.00 and up but you'll never wear them out. The 250 series is not as good.

I have never shot an SR9,but I have a ruger .22 and bought the wife an LCP for Christmas and both shoot great. Personally however I prefer my Springfield XD40 and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a firearm. It is extremely reliable and I have never had a single problem with it.
