Paging Hiker!

You wouldn't happen to know any good fishing spots around here. I have only been fishing on the Academy, and have been looking for other places to fish.

Wharpoley,
Zatarain, my son Luke and I went fishing last week on Pikes Peak. We caught 4-5 trout in a few hours. It costs $4 to take the Pikes Peak road up to the lake. Crystal Creek Res. PM me if that would interest you. We also have a few larger lakes, Elevenmile & Spinney Mtn Res. They are up by Hartsel, about 60 minutes from the Springs. If you want warm water fishing, you can fish Pueblo Res., or out east by Ordway, Lake Meredith or John Martin Res. by LaJunta & Lamar.

Killerbee, I've killed a few bear south of Pueblo by Walsenburg but haven't hunted for any thing else down there. I've seen some nice bulls and a few bucks while chasing bear. That's a real nice buck that you posted, You did really well putting your hunter on that buck, I haven't seen any that big in that area.

Wayne, I had no idea you ever lived in Colorado. Eleven Mile has some monster rainbows, did you ever catch any of those football trout?

Killerbee, I PM'd ya back.

Yeah Hiker I caught many rainbows but not big. I lived at FT Carson 5 days a week and two days in the mountains. :thumb Also hunted Muley's up on Saddle Mountain. In the national forest, I saw a couple hogs while scouting but couldn't find them while hunting. I saw a Big NT the weekend before season, to this day the biggest Muley I've ever seen. I had planned to move back to CO after my sevice but one thing led to another.
