I have some of the same concerns as southwind. As far as second amendment rights, it's hard to beat Huckabee's position, IMHO. He plainly stated that the second amendment "is not about hunting" during one of the debates. Many Republicans and some Democrats are for the second amendment but for varying reasons.

Let's be fair, though. There's more to the issues than the second amendment. A lot of big issues to deal with this time around. I voted in the NH primary and saw our towns results in the paper. Romney won in our town. Supposedly he saw a gun once while in Utah. Not surprising he won our town as we're very near the MA border and a lot of people moved up from there and brought their liberal baggage with them. Very Democratic part of the state. Can't swing a dead cat without hitting a former Masshole. (no offense to anyone from there, it's just a joke :) )

i came up with Huckabee - 50 ,romney -47, McCain 43. interesting site
hey i noticed that when the results came up in the backgroud of the republicans there is an elephent with some stars and strips, then on the democrats there is a jackass with some stars and strips on it, thats a little funny :)) :))
my question is this, so i have liked huckabee's stance on topics i've seen but if a person votes for him it seems your just taking votes away from someone who has a better chance of winning??? i dont know if that makes sence?? so i dont think he would get enough votes to become are pres-- i could be wrong-- whereas McCain seems to be bigger and could have a chance at winning, i like his stance on most things as well. so would it be better to lean to McCain just for the fact of trying to keep someone i dont like from getting in office?

I think John McCain has the best chance of beating the Clinton's, [-o< [-o<

Reason enough for me to hope He gets the nomination.

According to the recent surveys I've heard on TV, both Clinton and Obama would beat Romney and Huckabee by a fair margin if the election were today. They said that Clinton currently shows a slight edge if running against McCain, but McCain and Obama would be a dead heat right now.

That's mighty nice of Mr. McCain to ALLOW us to keep the guns that we already have a Constitutional Right to own. We're going to need them to fight off all of the ILLEGALS he plans on letting into this country.

Thanks Again John................that's mighty nice of you.

True about the illegals, but there my opinion on illegals didn't match a SINGLE candidate! I don't want any kind of amnesty. They're criminals, let's treat them like it and get rid of them.
