On the mountain I pack around a Remington Model 700 .270win. Around town your hard pressed to find me without my little Springfield Armory XD 40 Sub-Compact. I just got it about a month ago and i love it. It conceales nicely and is a blast to shoot. I'd reccomend it to anyone looking for a concealed handgun. It came with a 9 round mag which is great for concealing, and then an extended 12 round mag as well as a mag loader, holster and a mag holster. I also have a Hi-Point .40S&W that I use for plinking.

When I'm in the hills, i'm packing one of three things:

Springfield XD 45 Compact
Winchester Model 94 AE in .44 Magnum
Marlin 1895 in 45-70 Gov't

I also have a Taurus in .357 but I lack an appropriate holster to carry it in the hills. Otherwise, it would be one of my choices as well.
Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription is more cowbell!
