this is my biggest W/t to date
shot in manitoba late november last fall.
300 ultra/ barnes 168 gr. tipped tsx

left antler scores 73 3/8 , inside spread 17", right antler 38 1/8.
so about 128 green/gross.

from what we could see the buck was probably hit by a car. both shoulders and the back was all blue/black, and there was a huge, deep bruise in the ribs.
it didn't slow his appetite for sex it seemed cause he was bedded with a hot doe and his fur was all wet from running all night after her.
how do i know he was with a HOT doe... well about 2-3 min after i shot the big guy
i was still waiting before approaching him when the doe stood from the tall grass she was bedded in and went to see what was wrong with her lover, then out of a small bush 400y away
comes a small 4x4 buck running to the doe. after watching the big guy a few second and seeing no reaction on his part he bred the doe right in front of me. lol
i could not believe what i just saw, sooo cool.

Nice whitetail! I would certainly consider him a good buck!

Sure sounds like he may have been hit by a vehicle...I can't think of any other reason why he would be busted up so bad. Good thing he was still able to chase the ladies though.

Sweet buck, who cares about the score. He looks big to me, even with the busted tines. 10sign:
