odd buck

Post by brn2hunt » Tue Nov 10, 2009 5:45 pm

I found this unique little buck tonight while pheasant hunting. Im not sure what happened to it there were no wounds on it anywhere just alot of hair falling out of the rump area. And it was pretty fresh. anyways i thought i would share it its right antler is pretty wierd looking.
You cant really tell from the pics but the main beam came out of the skull almost straight back before going up.

Fun seeing those odd racks. Looks to be in good body condition, must not have died from illness?

I actually went back hunting pheasant again and one of its legs was swollen up pretty big so im guessing it is from whatever that might be.

Possible it died from infection?

Cool buck. Hope the laws in your part of the woods aren't messed up like ours so that you can end up with that skull.
